Our Story

The College of Foot Care Practitioners was established by Ms Elizabeth Dutton, herself a successful FCP, over twenty years ago. Elizabeth developed the course achieving level IV academic accreditation. Over the years she has successfully trained many FCP’s and provided help and support to her students after qualification. Foot Care Practitioners are not Chiropodists or Podiatrists who study for a minimum of three years at University. Foot Care Practitioners are individuals trained to deliver foot care treatments within their scope of training and who, like any competent individual, understand when to refer a client on for further advice. FCP’s provide an important role in reducing the demand on resources by providing high quality care to clients with basic foot care needs.

What is a FCP?

Foot Care Practitioners (FCP’s) are individuals who have completed theory and practical training enabling them to offer routine foot care to members of the public. Individuals completing an approved training course, receive a certificate allowing them to work within the private sector. All of our students once qualified are able to obtain insurance to practice. As an FCP it is NOT a requirement to become a member of any organisation or association unless you wish to do so.

Look at what any orgaisation is offering and decide if you really need it! Your potential clients will want to know you are well qualified and confident, competent and insured to work. They are not interested about you being a member of some association therefore only join if you are going to benefit from it!

Why train with us?

Our courses are written and approved by a team of experts ensuring you receive excellent training. Our diploma course is level 4 NCFE approved.

We teach proven evidenced-based treatments helping you provide the best care to your clients.

We are an established school which aims to help students achieve their goals, whether it is a career change, adding new skills or your first career choice.

What will I learn?

Once qualified you are able to to start working right away with very little set-up cost. We provide all the support you need. We can even offer you a franchise opportunity.

Most FCP’s charge £45 for a routine treatment which takes approximately 30 minutes.

For those with additional training in biomechanics providing orthotic treatments attract much higher charges.
